Facebook makes frequent changes to their JavaScript SDK, the code that allows developers to add those fancy “Login with Facebook” buttons on your website and more. So it’s recommended that Facebook page administrators keep an eye on the Facebook Developer Blog for announcements. Today’s changes include:
1. FB.Canvas.setAutoResize will stop working and has been replaced with FB.Canvas.setAutoGrow.
If you have Facebook subpages, contest pages, etc., you may start experiencing resize issues and should replace the AutoResize code within AutoGrow.
2. Calls to get events (Events GETs) from the Graph API/FQL will require an access token.
Again, if you start seeing errors, have your developerss check the event GETs code.
Next official update will happen on Aug. 1, 2012. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated.
