One of the reasons why I love social media and content marketing is that they allow me to participate in conferences beyond the confines of the presentation rooms. At the same time, if I’m a speaker I may not get to see all the other presentations and hear all the amazing content marketing tips they have to share. And I mentioned content marketing because I’m gearing up for Content Jam, a Chicago content marketing conference.
So, in case you can’t attend all sessions at Content Jam, what are some other ways to squeeze every drop of knowledge from the conference?
Here are three ways to get more out of your content marketing conference experience:
1. Find other participants on Twitter using the conference hashtag (in this case #contentjam) and chat with them prior to the event. It will be easier for you to socialize at the event if you’ve Twitter-met.
2. Reach out to speakers and do a Q&A to publish on your blog. Most speakers are quite invested in delivering a great presentation and you’ll find they are happy to talk to you about it.
3. Collect top tips from speakers and participants and publish them as a presentation on SlideShare.
